AFED laid its foundation through strategic consulting in upstream oil and gas, establishing early companies like AFED Oil & Gas, Beicip TecSol, and AFED Consultancy. With deep subsurface and engineering expertise, the group supported major clients in field development, reservoir studies, and production optimization.
The formation of Beicip-Franlab Asia, a regional arm of the renowned French energy consultancy marked a milestone, expanding our footprint in energy economics, software, and technical advisory.
The launch of Cendana Petroleum and Cendana Digital reflected our growing ability to merge technical capability with innovation, bridging traditional oil & gas services with emerging digital opportunities.
As Malaysia's landscape began to change, AFED seized the opportunity to diversify. We launched Mr. Churros in 2021, introducing a now-iconic F&B brand that rapidly scaled across the country, empowering entrepreneurs through a licensing model that emphasized simplicity and quality.
Around 2024, our internal tech development arm began evolving into what is now AFED Digital, a full-fledged tech company delivering ERP solutions, digital platforms, and enterprise software to both internal operations and external clients. AFED Digital gained momentum, expanding its offerings and partnering with global energy data standards (OSDU, PPDM), and serving key clients like Petronas and other multinationals.
Recognizing the need for structure, AFED Holdings was officially formed in 2024 to consolidate all business units under a unified vision. The following year, we acquired AFED Texcal Energy Ventures, marking our strategic entry into Indonesia's upstream energy sector and establishing PT AFED to lead regional energy operations. We also launched Pretzley and Ganu Signatures, expanding our F&B brand portfolio, and established the Asia Digital Academy to drive digital education across Southeast Asia.
